Sunflower:

Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) originated in Northern America and was later introduced to the rest of the world, becoming eventually a very popular plant in Europe during the 18th century. It flourishes on almost any kind of soil, grows fast, and its head florets mature into seeds best known as “sunflower seeds”. Sunflower oil is extracted by pressing these seeds. In Cosmetics it used as a carrier oil due to its high concentration in lecithin and vitamins. Additionally, thanks to its ability to absorb moisture, it is an ideal ingredient for iridescent shades, helping makeup remain intact on the upper eyelids.
