Cherry & Sour Cherry:

Both Cherry tree’s (Prunus avium) sweet-tasting fruit and sour Cherry tree’s (Prunus cerasus) rather sour-tasting fruit, mostly used in confectionery and distillery, belong in the same genus and originated in the region between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea. The two plants have more to offer than just their highly sought-after tasty and beneficial fruit. Their dried stalks and leaves are used in herbal medicine while their stones contain a substantial amount of oil, particularly rich in vitamins and antioxidants, with low rancidity rate. It is easily absorbed by the skin and moisturises it deeply. It is often used to enhance creams that nourish dehydrated skin, or in moisturising lipcare products that help lips regain their lost shine and promote their naturally healthy bright cherry-red colour.
